DAILY PROGRAM
Day 1: ARRIVAL
Arrival at Turin airport, welcome by our English speaking tour leader and coach transfer to a hotel located nearby the city centre. Accommodation in a 4* hotel such as Pacific Hotel Fortino or Hotel Royal, or similar. Welcome drink. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: TURIN
After breakfast, departure by coach for a daily excursion with our tour leader. In the morning, guided tour of Turin, the first capital city of the unified Italy, and today capital of Piedmont. Discovery of the centre with the Castle Square, the political and religious heart of the city, where the majestic Royal Palace rises. Visit of the Palace with its sumptuously decorated apartments in different styles: Baroque, Rococo and Neoclassical. The Royal Palace houses one of the most important art galleries in Italy, the Sabaudian Gallery, which brings together the rich collections of the House of Savoy, offering a great view of Piedmontese, Venetian and Flemish painting and sculpture from the 13th to the 20th century, including works by artists such as Van Eyck, Rembrandt, Botticelli, Veronese and Modigliani. Continue to the Armeria Reale, a museum dedicated to the collection of weapons and armor gathered by the Savoy family. Among the most famous pieces, we can admire the sword of Saint Maurice, and a sword belonging to Napoleon. Free time for lunch (not included). In the afternoon, the excursion continues to the Duomo, the only architectural vestige of the Renaissance preserved in Turin, and then to the Chapel of the Holy Shroud, a true Baroque masterpiece built in the shape of a rotunda by Guarini. Here you can admire the Holy Shroud that wrapped the body of Christ during his descent from the Cross. Finally, the Church of St. Lawrence, one of the most elegant churches in the city, whose dome is a powerful celebration of Baroque art. Afterwards, free time in the centre, including a tasting of pastries and hot drinks in a historical café. Back to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: TURIN
Breakfast at the hotel, and departure by coach for a daily excursion with our tour leader. In the morning, guided visit (half-day) of the Royal Palace of Venaria, former hunting lodge of the Dukes of Savoy also known as the “Versailles of Piedmont". The Palace is surrounded by an ancient village and further away from the Mandria Regional Park, a large estate for the royal stud farm. Discovery of the castle in Baroque style, with the royal apartments, then the Hall of Diana, the ideal hinge between the palace and the gardens, and the richly decorated Great Gallery. Finally, walk in the wonderful gardens enriched by fountains, sculptures and caves, and view of the remains of the Fountain of Hercules and the Temple of Diana. Return to the centre of Turin and free time for lunch (not included). In the afternoon, free time to stroll around the centre and do some shopping. Alternatively, chance to arrange other visits (optional, not included) to important museums, such as the Egyptian Museum, the second most important in the world and one of the largest Italian museums (see supplement), or other visits such as the Cinema Museum, located in the famous Mole Antonelliana, or the Valentine's Park, a green haven in the city. Back to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: DEPARTURE
Breakfast at the hotel, then transfer by coach to Turin airport with our tour escort. Check-in assistance and end of our services.
The price includes:
• 3 nights accommodation on H/B basis in mentioned 4* hotel or similar, in double room
• All dinners excluding beverages
• Welcome drink on the day of arrival

• The service of a professional English-speaking tour leader from/to the airport and for the whole duration of the tour, accommodation and meal costs included
